PRNewswire -- Verizon Wireless has increased its data capacity by 500 percent and its voice capacity by 300 percent in and around the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan, to accommodate the estimated crowd of 50,000 at this year's ROTHBURY festival, July 2-5.Verizon Wireless deployed a Cell On Light Truck (COLT), which covers the area where the four-day festival will be held. A COLT is a fully functional, generator-powered mobile cell site that enhances wireless capacity in a specific location. Additionally, the company upgraded equipment on its permanent cell site that provides service to the area to help boost capacity for the event.
